To the Seven Holy Founders Parish PSR - Religious Education Program.

The tradition of the Church teaches us that the gift of faith given to us by the Lord has to be nurtured every day.   When a child is baptized in the church, at that moment he/she becomes a member of a much greater family and is offered all the necessary means to grow in his/her faith and in their relationship with God.

Catechesis is the process in which the children, the youth and the adults in our community discover and share in that ministry of Christian faith, and they do this through religious education classes, meetings/encounters and various celebrations that bring us closer to Jesus.  Catechesis goes beyond preparing for Baptism, First Holy Communion or Confirmation.  It is a process that begins at the HOME of each child.  It is here where the initial preparation becomes very important, it is here where the primary responsibility of educating our children in the catholic faith begins and it is here where we begin to see the desire to receive the sacraments and continue to do so through formation every year.

Faith is maintained firm and strong when it is celebrated within community.  That is why participation in the celebration of the Eucharist/Mass as a family becomes very important in the process of Christian formation of our children.  We invite you to come regularly to Mass with your children.
